Frequently Asked Questions

Gotta' burning question about Shoreline that's keeping you awake at night? You're not alone...

What are Shoreline services like? Sunday Worship is the time that we come together to worship God as a congregation. We worship in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere-there's no need to be formal here. We seek to use every available Christ honoring means to be relevant to the culture of this millennium. Our services will include authentic worship, biblical focus, practical teaching, multi media, creativity, innovation and the arts.

We provide a "no hassle" guarantee—we're always here to serve you in any way we can, but we promise that you won't be singled out or pressured. You are free to come, observe, and participate in a way that's comfortable for you.

What will happen when I visit for the first time? If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and 'be anonymous' for a while-and that's fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

What style of sermons does Pastor Eric preach? Pastor Eric's messages are never dull: making the Bible easy to understand and apply to your life. Sunday sermons will challenge and inspire you to be all that God wants you to be.

What do I wear to church? Come as you are—in whatever is comfortable—because Shoreline is not about what you look like or what you wear.

Where are you located? We meet at Rave Motion Pictures in Destin Commons. Just walk through the main entrance of the theatre and follow the signs. (If you're new to the Destin area and don't know where Destin Commons is located, scroll to the bottom of this page and you'll find our snazzy map.)

What about my children? At Shoreline Church your children are a top priority. Our Tidepools Nursery and Preschool, for babies 6 weeks to 5 yr. olds, is clean, safe, and staffed with loving caretakers. We offer a dynamic and fun children's ministry called Shorebreak Kids for 1st - 5th graders.

How can I be discipled and grow? You can begin by attending our Discovering Shoreline Newcomer's Reception and Membership Class. You could also get involved in a Life Group...

How can I meet others and get connected? God never intended for us to live life alone. A Life Group is a place to serve, learn, have fun, but most importantly get to know people with whom you can learn to serve a real God for real life. Life Groups are the best way to get to know people at Shoreline Church and find your niche in our mission to be a Church for the Real World. Each Life Group is different. Some only last for weeks, and some run continuously. You can choose a Life Group that fits your schedule. There are all kinds of Life Groups: bible studies, outreach teams, special interest groups, sports teams . . . just about anything you are interested in. What type of church is Shoreline Church? Shoreline Church is a Christian, Non-denominational, Bible-centered church.
